A night of awards!

So, major props to Oliver for remembering the Banff Trail song. Now I remember all of it, and the crazy duck-billed platypus in neon-ish/TACKY cowboy getup too! (Bingo was his name and according to the song, he's bilingual.) :D

Got a Citizenship Award. Hurrah. *waves medal* Others were seriously bling'ed. Oh and for the Les Pearson award, Oliver sang a few verses from the intro to our old Elementary's song and I immediately remembered the rest. Oh my goodness.

Oh and Mr Beland totally train wrecked my name. Worst pronounciation I've heard but hey, I ran into him twice and he apologized profusely. (considering at Grad he was one of the ones I explained how to pronounce my name. haha) I remember the days where a sub would come in, find some colourful mispronounciation and all my classmates would be like "It's Am-lah-kay!" in chorus.

After slight catastrophe with some of the Gr 10s being a bit dim, ran into Michael and Oliver who were talking to Mr Pope. Then to kind of annoy Caitlin, and partly from nostalgia, all three of us broke into the École Banff Trail song. I've seriously remembered more than half of it after like, the last time I sang it was...6 years ago.

(something something)
École Banff Trail is a caring place to grow!

The students and the teachers, all work hand in hand
To make Banff Trail the BEST school in the land! (And kids always over-emphasised 'best')
And Bingo is our mascot-----okay, I'll stop but like Michael and Oliver were saying, it's one of the best songs ever! :D

And École Banff Trail
École Banff Trail,
École Banff Trail is a caring place to grow~!

:D

And btw, ceiling/roof collapsing in Ms Fernandez's room (Rm 326?)+ Asbestos = Not cool. (And hazardous even)

8mil in needed repairs? Two cases of collapsed ceilings? How can that not warrant urgency from the Principal? Oh and Western's going to get an entire wing stone-balled for a somewhat similar case. (ABE is what....50-something years old? 54? Western's about 103 years old?)

Anyway, Mrs Hirst was giving lifts to everyone and I got a lift from Steve and came home and started this. aka I'm going to try and continue writing out my english responses so I can type them up tomorrow. I might go and visit Vanccie next Thursday during double spare and work on English during double spare and CALM tomorrow.

Devon a dit...

Aiee! Asbestos! Actually, the state of our school terrifies me. I'm actually insanely worried that someday they'll just decide that the school isn't worth the repairs and they'll just tear it down. Which would be horrific. So, dear CBE, REPAIR OUR SCHOOLS! ASAP!
