Registration's done. + World Cup

After many near scream-so-loud-that-I-woke-the-neighborhood moments, I've finally registered for everything. I just need to send out the confirmation and I'm set.

As per what I discussed with my aunt, I shall go to the Modern Lang. department in September and hang about until someone or just anyone drops their JPN 1901. From there I will drop ALG 1901 (sorry Devon!) and ALG 1902 and register for JPN 1901 and 1902. Hopefully.

Or EDIT as I found in an email I received earlier today, I can take a proficiency test and skip to 1902 but I don't think my knowledge of the language is that organized to take a proficiency test. *shrugs*

Also, I have become incredibly curious about Doctor Who and the second season of the new series (The old DW looks neat too. But I never finished last season's Doctor Who with the Ninth Doctor and it seems now in the new season there's a Tenth new doctor). I should find DVDs or something and finish it and hope CBC picks up the new season because that was a fun show.

So the Croatia-Australia match was by far the best match. Plus the ref (I've seen him ref EPL matches. He's never that card-crazy) was card-crazy. Wow. Never seen so many red cards in one match nor 3 yellows (3rd yellow was for a foul and to send off the guy was supposed to have been sent off earlier but had not left). As I quote the announcers "Dear lord...What drama we've seen here today on the pitch folks!". In the last minute, one of the Aussie players hugged the ref after he had a goal dissallowed after the final whistle blew. I found that funny. BTW, to Croatia: pushing refs is probably the best way for a player to get a red.

The music video for Celebrate the Day/Zeit dass sich was dreit (WC's anthem) is intense. The video has clips from I think every world cup and it's so nice. I feel like hunting about for DVDs and watching old matches from like the 70s and so forth. They looked so fantastic. (Random Fact: Goalies in the early days used to wear beret-like hats for the heck of it) Also, there's a random shot of a Saudi fan (in traditional wear) twirling happily. Also, Pierluigi, one of the coolest refs ever, is in it (fellow who's completely bald and looks menacing when angered) and there's a shot of Zizou's fantastic goal in the '98 final and Maradona's 'Hand of God' goal.

In other news, I'm in an odd mood right now and I'm not entirely sure why... Hm
