Reunions :D

Forgot to mention in all my busy-stressyness that I went to a reunion for my grade 6 class yesterday. It was loads of fun. We first watched a video of us where some people back when they were 12 walked by and then it was followed by a taped presentation of us of most of our presentations for a project we had to do called "temple de la renommé" and we did our projects on people we found to be "Hall of famers ". Then there were photos from when we were in Québec City during our Quebec Trip. Such a great trip (Save, we spent a grand total of maybe 3hrs in Montreal and it was on the day we were leaving so everything was rushed).

Then we opened letters we wrote to ourselves 6 years ago. Oh good god I said some the strangest things. Some other people's letters were funny. Some said how much they hated certain individuals and most of us were like "Oh good god! I'm so sorry I wrote that about you!". Some of us predicted who would marry who (lol). Lots and LOTS of laughs.

In my letter I put in something like this line:

"In the future I hope to go to the University of Montreal and be an artist and paint beautiful pictures"

That made me so happy inside. I mean, I may not be headed to Montreal and I don't know if I'll become an artist, that door is still as wide open as it was then, but it's so neat to see what my dreams were when I was 13. :)

And while we were there I decided to stop by my old daycare Kids Come First. I saw one of the old caretakers whom I hadn't seen since I was 13 and our conversation basically went like this:

Robyn: What grade are you in now?
Me: Twelve :)
R: No way!! So you're going to University?
Me: Yup!
R: No way!! What are you studying?
Me: Sociology at the UofO
R: Holy crap....you know I was about like, 15 when I first worked here and now you're 18 and I'm like 23!!
Me: You're 23?!!!
R: Yup :D
Me: NO WAY!!

Hahah...I seriously thought that she was alot older than 15 when she worked at the daycare. Man oh man. *laughs* About 4 people who worked at the daycare while I was there have kids of their own now. So wierd.

BTW, I got a bunch of comments that went like this with regards to my France supporters' jersey:

"You're supporting FRANCE?"

No, me mental? Nah. Just showing my soccer-loving spirit. Besides, I think France could probably make it to the Quarters or Semis and I like most of their players. (Cissé got injured before the WC which sucks. No menacing bleached hair and beard.) Anyways, to show how crazy I am/can be I might wake up at 6:30 am to watch the first match against England and Paraguay.

Or dad might do that...

I want T&T to beat Sweden. That'd make my day. :D
