La découverte du millenaire!

I am stupid.

I'm sitting here typing along my responses/critics etc. for my Novel Portfolio for English and I just uncovered the criteria sheet that was given to us in...November sitting my old binder.

Unconscious Civilisation isn't for one a "novel" (it's non-fiction and my definition of 'novel' is it's a story..blah) and so far most of what I have had to say about it is tying it into society today rather than analytical literary jibberjabber. Not only that, but since Mr Harker hasn't read this book, it's --according to this handy sheet I haven't seen since November-- a "C" book. What that means is that my mark for the book I choose goes down to about 50%-60%. I mean, UC is an amazing book (which is what defines an "A" book) but because he's never read it, (yet he's read one of Saul's other books which is...disgustingly thick) it's a "C". And since my responses are far from "Excellent" (80+) I may end up with less than that. Far less.

If this doesn't go well, I need to get at least an 80 on Part A and at least a 70+ on Part B of the diploma to pass English.

And yes, I do in fact realize that I should've located the booklist sooner or picked a book earlier or something and soforth. Etc. etc. *rubs forehead* I think I'll put on some shoes, grab my umbrella and stand outside on the deck for a few minutes in a bit.

English and me just don't seem to have a good history together at all.
