Hahaha...Trinidad's goalie is now my favorite goalie of the World Cup. One-handed saves from point blank shots drilled at him. I couldn't be able to do that I don't think.
So Trinidad & Tobago held Sweden to a 0-0 draw which is pretty damn impressive. Oh and I'm hunting down the World Cup album because I found an awesome song called "Celebrate the Day" and the background music heard on Sportsnet and TSN during sponsor messages or commercials saying "You are now watching the FIFA World Cup 2006 in GERMANY" apparently titled "Bamboo" which are both the anthems for the World Cup this year and are both amazing. (I still like Anthem by Vangelis from last year's World Cup though)
Alas Adidas has no commercials on the insane crack-level of hilarity as the Footballitis commercials from the last world cup. The newest one is pretty darn awesome. Two latino boys decide to have a soccer game and they flip a coin to see who gets to pick first and then they start calling names like "Zidane" "Beckham" "Cissé" and the players come out onto their teams (Zizou gives the kid a tip on who to pick next in one scene and it turns out to be retired Bixente Lizarazu I think...I thought it was Platini but Platini is the predecessor of the current No 10, Zizou and Platini is old so it was maybe Lizarazu). It's pretty fun. But Footballitis still remains my favorite. What happened was there was a press conference where a doctor-looking figure announced the discovery of this new illness called "Footballitis" and began describing symptoms and the treatments they tried. Change to waiting rooms where a slew of soccer stars and players in the Cup are sitting, or rather dribbling soccer balls that nurses try to take away from them but unsuccessfully, and some are playing mini games in the hospital and such and are toppling chairs and such. Goalies made makeshift goal nets and such, doctors were trying to examine players while they dribbled the ball on the beds or passed it to other players (which is what starts the crazy destruction of the hospital) Tooo funny.
Anyway, going to work on English. Since it seems the deadline for Writer's Workshop submissions was yesterday (I have only 1 conference out of 6. I thought it was 2 but I suppose not), my mark is heavily dented so I'd have to get above 80% (combined on Part A & B) on the Diploma to secure a 65%. Easy to do...that is, if my history with English Reading comp. exams wasn't so dismal. And then I have three days to work on CALM and finish that.
I have decided, that since I found Due South season 2 for 28$ (from the usual 50-60$) I will watch it once I've done English. *nods*
Salut

what did you do of your english from wednesday?
I talked to my teacher yesterday and, of course sounding frustrated (I heard 2 other people had come in earlier for extensions), gave me an extension until Monday.
